Welcome to our on-line home!
The Barron Area Montessori School, taught at Woodland Elementary, gives
students a sense of independence and freedom in their learning environment
that sets it apart from the traditional classroom setting. The Montessori
approach to learning provides a child-centered, individualized learning
environment. The Montessori philosophy emphasizes the development of the
whole child in a specially-designed environment that fosters his/her intellect,
social, emotional, and physical development. A Montessori experience establishes
a strong foundation for learning and an atmosphere that is imperative in
fostering the development of a child's interests, skills and dreams.
