Strategic Planning Action Teams

We're ready for the next step in the BAMS stragtegic planning process. A core team has developed two main objectives for the school. Now we ask for your participation in action teams who work to determine how to accomplish these objectives. Anyone can be on an action team. There will be one large group meeting and then each of the two action team will set up their own schedule for meeting and compiling their results. Final information will then go back to the core team for review/approval. The objectives & subsidiary strategies are:

(Objective 1) By 2015 BAMS will be a sustainable entity
- We will define & establish a hierarchical structure of the school
- Identify our long-term facility needs
- Identify other means of procuring additional funds
- Increase enrollment demand

(Objective 2) By 2015 BAMS graduating students will demonstrate superior social competencies and consistent academic excellence
- Identify & implement measurements of academic progress and social competencies
- Identify and implement a transition strategy for exiting Montessori students
- Design an on-going staff development plan
- Develop a volunteer support system for the staff

Strategic Planning

The Barron Area Montessori School (BAMS) strategic planning core team is charged with recommending a 5 year strategic plan to the board. This plan addresses the future opportunities and challenges of the BAMS program as well as the continued operational structure and development of the program.

The core team is a cross section of parents, community members, board members, and staff.
