Barnebirkie in Hayward Wisconsin
Imagine the energy of 1,300 kids, ages 3 to 13, standing on skis awaiting the sound of the starting gun for the Barnebirkie. The excitement – and noise – is exhilarating as each participant anticipates his or her 1-, 3- or 5-kilometer event. Every child is a winner! Every participant receives a victory medal and ski bib.

There will be NO SCHOOL this day. Children will still be able to take the bus to and from school. If you are not able to attend and your child is participating in the event, or have more than one child skiing we will assign an adult or high school student to partner with your child for the day.
If you are picking up your child in Hayward, parents must
contact your child’s teacher before leaving. Please meet them under the
BAMS banner in the Swiss Miss/cookie tent.
The group photo will be taken right after breakfast. The children need to be fully dressed and ready to get on the bus immediately following. The picture will take place in front of the school. If you would like to purchase a group picture please bring $6 for a 5x7, or $10 for an 8x10. This would be a great addition to your child’s scrap book!
Don’t forget to pack a bag lunch for your child if you did not order one through the school.
Thank you so much to those involved who gave, made, bought and supported.
This has always been a very memorable day for us. We
hope that you all enjoy the experience and have a great time.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to attend but want your child to participate, we will assign an adult or high school buddy to partner with your child for the day. Please indicate your desire for that on the participation from below. SIBLINGS ARE INVITED TO JOIN US — Add their names and ages to registration and participation forms.
